Chris Pratt says "God is real" and denies Hollywood is anti-religion
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star opens up about his faith

Chris Pratt is showing a new, more religious side of himself to the public. During a recent interview with the Associated Press, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star opened up about his personal faith and the stigma against religion.
Pratt explained that, “I think that there's this narrative that exists out there that Hollywood is anti-Christian or anti-religious, but it's just not the case,” Pratt said. “They are kind of not anti-anything.”
At this years MTV Awards, Pratt used his time on stage to promote religion and urged viewers to take time to "learn to pray." He preached, “God is real. God loves, you, God wants the best for you,” Pratt said. “Believe that. I do.” His speech went viral and reaped both positive and negative reactions.
Discussing his decision to bring religion into his acceptance speech, Pratt said it is “what I'm feeling called to do right now.” He went on to explain, “That kind of a message, it might not be for everybody. But there is a group of people for whom that message is designed,” he said. “And nothing fills my soul more than to think that maybe some kid watching that would say, 'Hey, I've been thinking about that. I've been thinking about praying. Let me try that out.'”
