The drug dealer who supplied Demi Lovato with the fateful pills that lead her to overdose has spoken out about the star, saying "she knew" the risk of what she was taking.

In an interview with TMZ, Brandon Johnson discusses the events that transpired before Lovato overdosed. When asked if the star knew what she was taking he said, "100% she knew what she was taking. I disclosed to her that these were not pharmaceutical, they were aftermarket pills. They're much stronger. She understood fully."

Johnson alleges that Lovato texted him around 4:00 am on July 24, when he brought her Oxycodone laced with fentanyl, which triggered her overdose. He claims he left Lovato's house around 7:00 or 8:00 am. She was found in a debilitating distress at 11:30 that morning.

The star is now being treated at an out-of-state rehab facility. Lovato wrote a message to her fans about the relapse, writing, "I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you all have shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side," she said via Instagram
