CELEBRITY Millie bobby brown

Since starring in the hit Netflix series 'Stranger Things,' Millie Bobby Brown has easily become a Hollywood favourite. The young star is the talk of award show red carpets, a must-follow social media personality, and is nominated for her first Emmy—all at the tender age of 14 years old.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Brown opened up about how she balances the pressures of stardom with being a teenager. “It’s not all about your looks. It’s about who you are as a person, and I think that’s just — it’s very hard at this age. Being a teenager, you don’t know who you are,” she said.

The 'Stranger Things' star was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama series for her role as Eleven. When asked how she felt when she got the nod, Brown said, "I was so happy. It was a great moment for my whole family. We all collapsed, and then we went back to our day. There was nothing really quite special, but it was amazing,” she explained.

When asked about handling her incredibly hectic schedule, Brown joked, “I’m 14. I’m getting on, you know,” she said. “My back is starting to ache. It’s starting to — it’s a little much. I might retire soon, you know.”

Watch for Millie Bobby Brown at the Daytime Emmy Awards on September 17.
