Singer Missy Higgins has welcomed a baby girl into the world. She shared the beautiful pic of mother and daughter via her Instagram with the caption "Welcome to the world little Luna".

Luna is the second child for the country singer, who also has a son, Samuel Arrow Lee, 3, who she shares with playwright and comedian Dan Lee.

Her baby announcement was made back in March, live on stage during her tour supporting Ed Sheeran during his Aussie tour. She told the 60,000 crowd the happy news to rapturous applause and cheering. 

Missy revealed it was the first time she'd publicly shared the happy news.

Her son apparently couldn't wait for the new arrival. She posted an adorable pic earlier in July with Samuel touching her belly and captioning it: "Sammy pressing the magic button to see if it makes her come out".
