The beauty and mystery that surround the iconic actor, Marilyn Monroe, live on far past the star's death. Charles Casillo, the author behind 'Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon' discovered a nude scene from the 1961 movie 'The Misfits,' that was thought to be destroyed—and everyone wants to see it.
The nude scene was with fellow actor, Clark Gable and showcases Monroe scandalously dropping a sheet that was covering her body. The clip was set to be the first ever nude scene in a major Hollywood film, however, it was left on the cutting room floor.
According to reports from Deadline, the scene was cut out due to it not being essential for the plot line. While most people in the production thought it was destroyed, Frank Taylor, the son of the film's producer saw it as groundbreaking and saved it. Taylor now claims that the archived footage has been locked away in his safe-keeping since his father's death in 1999.
What would you do to see Monroe bare all? Casillo's revealing novel may just give you a sneak-peak behind the sheet.
