CELEBRITY 13 reasons why

Actor Ross Butler, who plays Zach Dempsey on the hit Netflix series '13 Reasons Why,' is allegedly being sued for attempted murder by the owner of Kurt Cobain's priceless guitar. Frances Bean Cobain’s ex-husband, Isaiah Silva, claims that Butler was planning on stealing the guitar for Courtney Love, according to Hollywood Life.

The incident initially occurred on June 3, 2016, when Butler, Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lufti, and Love’s current manager John Nazarian, broke into Silva's West Hollywood-based home. TMZ reports that the court papers allege the three men “burglarized, robbed, assaulted, sexually battered, kidnapped and attempted to murder him.”

Silva claims that Courtney Love, who is Cobain's widow, was the ringleader of the attack.

So how is this '13 Reasons Why' star possibly connected to Courtney Love? Butler explained in an interview with Vulture in 2017. “A good friend of mine is her manager,” Butler said of meeting Love. “I met him [through a mutual friend] when I moved to L.A. and he was like, ‘Hey, do you wanna meet Courtney Love?’ and I said sure. She and I just clicked really well. She’s super educated, like a walking encyclopedia. She’s just decided to keep me around, and has been my mentor and my big sister ever since.”

Hollywood Life reports that the lawsuit asks for unspecified damages.
