The toddler version of the beloved puppet characters, 'The Muppets,' are headed back to the small screen with Disney Junior's reboot of 'Muppet Babies.'

Jim Henson's characters got their original break on CBS, and aired from 1984 to 1991. Now, the babies return with an animated makeover and a new addition to the cast.

Disney Junior announced via Twitter that Summer Penguin, a cute purple addition and the second female character, will join longtime favorites Kermit and Gonzo in the playroom.

Tom Warburton, the executive producer of the reboot, describes bringing the classic to a modern audience, “It’s this crazy, scary honor dropped in my lap,” Warburton said. “It’s kind of one of the most exciting things in the world,” he said according to Slashfilm.

The Muppet Babies are making their grand re-entrance in March 2018 on Disney Junior.
