How many are homeless are in Australia? -

There were 116,427 homeless Aussies at the Australian Bureau of Statistics' last count, increasing by 13.7% since 2011. 

Homeless Aussies were 58% male, 42% female and massively concentrated in one state.

8. ACT - There were 1,596 homeless people in ACT at the last count.

Biggest decrease - Homelessness has decreased in ACT by 8% since 2011, the biggest decreases in the country. ACT is only one of two states or territories to decrease its homeless population.

7. TAS - There were 1,622 homeless people in TAS at the last count.

Slight increase - That number is up by 6% since 2011.
