The US' former First Lady Michelle Obama released her memoir 'Becoming' on November 13 and it has given readers a glimpse into some of the best-kept secrets of her life.
The book reveals her resentment towards the US' current controversial president Donald Trump and how his backing of activists who believed her husband Barack Obama was not actually born in the US was putting her family at risk. She wrote she would never forgive him for threatening her children's safety.
In the book, Michelle also talks about her struggling journey to get pregnant. She openly discusses her miscarriage and how she felt like a failure. She mentions the fact that because women don't talk about miscarriages often enough, many people aren't aware of how common it is. Ultimately, her girls Sasha and Malia were both born via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
Finally, she gets candid about her marital struggles with Barack. They ended up going to couples counselling to help them reconnect and work through their problems.
It is quite an eye-opener all around!
